In 2007 the club was reformed as the original Women's Team had folded some years ago due to promotions, retirements and babies! Zoe Joyce (Vice Chair 2007-2010) advertised and received an overwhelming response from girls that thought it was a great idea and wanted to become a part of this new team.

Clare Brown (Captain 2007 - present, England Development Squad Player 1999-2000 and British Police WRFC rep), got in touch and together made a start.

The team has an incredible range of experienced and skilled players of all abilities and ages. Some have never played before, where as some have played at international level.

This club has become a great way of bonding with fellow officers as well as creating new friendships within the team.

Everyone that has become a part of this have shown true enthusiasm and commitment. This has come from PCSO's through to Commanders.

Most of all the priority within this club is to have fun. If the players don't enjoy playing - they will never play to the best of their ability.

The Met Police Women's Rugby Team are proud supporters of Care Of Police Survivors.
COPS is run by survivors for survivors. Membership is open to spouses, partners, children, parents and siblings of officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
